Your day begins with a comfortable private transfer out of Metro Manila. Enjoy a 2.5 to 3-hour drive through the countryside, passing rice paddies, coconut groves, and charming rural towns as you head toward Laguna. Upon arrival in Pagsanjan, local boatmen will assist you into a traditional wooden canoe (bagkca). Two skilled “bangkeros” will paddle and push your boat upstream through a dramatic river gorge, navigating narrow bends, small rapids, and waterfalls along the way. Expect a fun and sometimes splashy ride—it’s part of the adventure! At the end of the upstream journey, you’ll reach the majestic Pagsanjan Falls, cascading 91 meters into a natural pool. You can take a dip, relax, or hop on a bamboo raft to get right underneath the waterfall—an exhilarating and refreshing experience.
