DAY 1

Arrival in Basco + North Batan Tour

Upon arrival at Basco Airport, guests are welcomed by their local guide and transferred to their hotel or homestay. After check-in and a warm breakfast, you’ll receive a short orientation before beginning your journey through the northern part of Batan Island.

The tour begins with a scenic visit to Mt. Carmel Chapel (Tukon Chapel), a lovely stone church perched on a hilltop overlooking the sea. At the nearby PAGASA Tukon Radar Station, enjoy panoramic views of the verdant countryside, Mt. Iraya, and Basco Town. If permitted, guests may take a quick stroll through Fundacion Pacita, a heritage lodge that once served as the home of renowned Ivatan artist Pacita Abad.
Next, head to the Japanese Tunnel—a historical World War II site—before visiting Valugan Boulder Beach, where volcanic rocks meet crashing Pacific waves. In Basco town proper, explore Casa Real, Basco Plaza, Kilometer Zero, Sto. Domingo Church, and the Aman Dangat Monument.

Later in the day, stand amidst the vast green meadows of Vayang Rolling Hills and end your tour at Naidi Hills, where the iconic Basco Lighthouse watches over the island.

18:00 Dinner will be served at a local restaurant before heading back to your accommodation.

Sabtang Island Excursion

Start early with breakfast and prepare for an unforgettable day on Sabtang Island. From Basco, you’ll travel by land to Ivana or San Vicente Port and take a 20- to 30-minute boat ride to the island.
Upon arrival and registration, explore the highlights of Sabtang beginning with the San Vicente Ferrer Church, a beautifully preserved Spanish-era church. Continue to the peaceful Savidug Village, where rows of traditional Ivatan stone houses still stand strong.
The tour proceeds to Sto. Tomas de Aquinas Chapel and a stop to witness traditional limestone production. From there, enjoy panoramic coastal views from Chamantad and Tinyan Viewdeck. Walk through Chavayan Village, another site of vernacular Ivatan homes and chapels like Sta. Rosa de Lima.
The final stop is Nakabuang Beach and the famed Ahaw Arch Formation on Morong Beach—a scenic natural rock formation perfect for photos and relaxing by the sea.
Enjoy a picnic lunch before returning to the port for the boat ride back to Batan Island.
